BRATT SLIPS BY RUTLAND 9-8
The Brattleboro boys LAX Team dominated the Rutland Raiders in the first half of action this afternoon. The second half was all Rutland as the Raiders returned the favor and dominated Bratt. In the end Chris Sawyers kids snuk outta town with a win that could have gone either way. Above Nate Coombs (3) had a great game scoring two goals and worked his tail off for Rutland. Rutland High School will be makeing their third trip in 4 years to the Patrick Gym in Burlington Tuesday night and will be looking to advance to the D-I Basketball finals later in the week. NORWICH DOMINATES CASTLETON
The Castleton Spartans were in a word dominated in the finals of the ECAC East tourney held on the campus of Norwich University in Northfield Vermont.The Cadets had their way with Castleton in handing the Spartans a lopsided 11 to 1 loss. The Castleton offense did everything it could against the Cadets tonight except for put the puck in the net.

SPARTANS DEFEND TITLE 4-3
The Castleton Spartans had a little gut check this afternoon during the 5th annual Rutland Herald Tourney held at the Spartan arena in Rutland. The team had their hands full with an up start pack from Morrisville New York but were able to hold off the Mustangs 4 to 3 in a nail biting third period. THE SPARTANS WIN RHI TITLE
The Castleton Mens Hockey team got the monkey off their backs this year and finally won their own Hockey tourney. The Spartans used some nifty goaltending and a big defensive effort to secure their first title in 4 trys. With the win Castleton improved to 4 and 0 on the young hockey season and host a big ECAC East weekend next week with Bowdin and Colby coming to town .
